Music Performance

About

The Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Music Performance are rigorous programs designed to prepare instrumentalists, pianists, and vocalists for professional careers in entertainment and the arts. Performance majors train in a wide variety of genres and styles to prepare for careers as soloists, ensemble musicians, teaching artists in schools, arts organization members, indie artists, entrepreneurs, and leaders in the field of performance. In addition to receiving training to become an excellent instrumentalist or vocalist, students are encouraged to pursue coursework based on their musical interests that prepares them for the multifaceted professional world, including courses in improvisation, composition, music technology, career development, and community outreach.
